Wordpress.com announced today that it would make high resolution, high quality, non copyrighted images directly available to bloggers who are using wordpress’s own publishing website www.wordpress.org and also to self hosted Wordpress blogs.
The service is called PicApp, which hosts stock photos clicked by professional photographers. Here’s a video to explain how it will work on a wordpress blog :
This service is also available to self-hosted wordpress bloggers through the PicApp plugin. Support for the plugin is available through this documentation and Wordpress support site.
The plugin allows bloggers to search PicApp while writing a new post or editing an existing one.
